Hi, hello, welcome.
I’m Mariam. A mother, a writer, a Gouda lover, an unapologetic reality TV binger. I started this page as a place to dump my thoughts on everything and anything—an online journal of sorts, where I could peel back the layers of my life and reflect on the little moments, the big questions, and the unexpected in-betweens.
This journey began during COVID, after the birth of my first son, when I started an Instagram page to navigate the highs and lows of motherhood. That space became a refuge, a way to capture the everyday chaos, the joy, and the honest struggles of raising a child and becoming a mother. Today, my world looks different. With a war waging in Lebanon, my family and I were forced to leave, and Unfolding felt like a fitting evolution—a way to process this new chapter, to untangle the threads of my mind as we rebuild in unfamiliar places.
Here, I write to make sense of it all, to find meaning where I can, and to share with others who might be searching, too.
Thank you for being here x
